Welcome to "Pass the Book" winner announcement post.
♥
But first! I'd like to show you a little piece of the mini-book I made for my SIL {Laurie} for Christmas. I'm only showing a couple of photos because this little book was a personal gift, but I wanted to show the simplicity of the book in hopes that some of you who think "I can't do that" will reconsider!
My SIL has four of the most beautiful and sweet daughters you could imagine - every one is an absolute gem. Their names all begin with the letter K, so the cover of her book says "I ♥ K's."
The cover is a piece of acetate, and I printed all the photos in black and white. I drew a simple line around each page/photo with a Sharpie marker, and used one little red heart on each page. I used quotes about daughters that I found online, and printed the journal strips from a Word document. The pages were constructed using a piece of chipboard (you can use an empty cereal box in a pinch) and held together with a simple glue stick. I did use my Bind-it-all to finish it off, but you could also take your completed pages to your local office supply store and ask them to bind it for you.
Sweet and simple, and my SIL loved it.
:o)
And now, the moment we've all been waiting for,
the drawing for the next recipient of "Pass the Book."
Drum roll please...
Congratulations, Jacky! I know you are going to love this book.
A big thanks to Melissa for sponsoring "Pass the Book" this year,
to Sian for starting it in the first place,
and to Karen for passing it to me.
I ♥ blog friends!

Too gorgeous - I know your SIL must treasure it! I need a little more Deb in my life, I am getting jealous here. Would it be completely inappropriate to send you random photos and see what you come up with? lol! Congrats to the lucky winner!

Love this mini-album and the way you combined the photos and the quotes. It's something I need to remember to think about when I'm scrapping. I have a collection of quotes I love, but forget about using them.
Love your mini book. I think I can make one. Thanks for the inspiration.
